Amplify mCLASS - Reporting Feature
Overview
mCLASS provides benchmark and progress-monitoring assessments for grades K–6. Its ecosystem of elementary reading resources works to target skill gaps and provide the right instruction at the right time. KIPP Texas Public Schools utilizes mCLASS for ELA/Reading courses K-2.
Prerequisites
(Make sure to review before you proceed to Where to Start)
- You must have a user account in mCLASS.
- You must have Access Type: Full in mCLASS for the requesting school. If you don't have a user account in mCLASS, you will need to submit a ticket to the Applications department via Zendesk to request assignment of a role or creation pf an account.
- NOTE: Only school leaders, specialists, or in special cases grade level chair teachers are to have the Reporting tile for school based staff.
- The/cookies if a previous account was given a demo class. Click here for instructions how to clear your cache/cookies on your browser.
How to Access the Reporting Feature on mCLASS
- Log in to mCLASS: https://mclass.amplify.com/portal/
- RECOMMENDED Log In with Amplify - use this option if you have a user account and password in mCLASS
- Log In with Google - use this option if you have a user account and password in mCLASS. Enter your KIPP Texas Google login credentials. If you do not have an account in mCLASS, you will receive an error when using this login option.
- Once logged in, click on the Reporting Tile
- If you do not have the Reporting tile on your mCLASS dashboard please submit a ticket to the Applications department via Zendesk
- Once redirected, hover over "View my Data" and select the assessment curriculum then click on submit.
- Choose your preferred Reporting template, this example will use Comparing Populations report.
- Then applying the Filters for an accurate count make sure to click on the drop down for "Student Filters"
- Highlighted below are the sections that should be filtered as such for the least amount of error and current data.
- Show Students Enrolled: Now
- Student Filters>Classed/Unclassed: Official Class Assigned
- The rest of the sections should be determined by your access and reason to pull the report. Such as focusing on a particular grade level, test date, by student, etc.
- Once your filters are completed click on View Report.
