Restarting the AMX touch panel in your classroom (South Campus)

Before submitting a HelpDesk ticket regarding your projector, you must first try troubleshooting the AMX touchpad in your classroom. Restart the touchpad by following these steps:

• Hold the rectangular button down for 15 seconds.

During these 15 seconds, the screen will transition from green, to yellow, to red.

              

                               GREEN                                         YELLOW                                        RED

The screen will go black for a few seconds before a series of AMX logo screens appear. At this point, the touchpad will have restarted.

  

• Tap on the “AMX schoolview screen” and it should automatically sign in without asking for any Username or password, all you have to do is to tap on the school when you see AMX screen.
• Be sure to adjust the volume when the main panel shows up. Depending on the type of cable connected to your computer (i.e., HDMI or VGA cable), press the corresponding input button.

      

 *Note: If the touchpad is frozen and does not light up, hold the rectangular button down for 20 seconds. You will not see the screen transition from green, to yellow, to red, but you will see the two AMX logo screens, and the touchpad will get restarted anyway. Follow these instructions beginning with step 2.
